ProQuest Historical Newspapers: Chinese Newspapers Collection, 1832-1953 (ProQuest历史报纸：近现代中国英文报纸库) 收录了从1832到1953年间出版发行的12份关于近现代中国的英文报纸（页面上可浏览到22种出版物，是因为部分报纸有合并、拆分等情况）。这些报纸从独特的视角，对中国近现代史上最为动荡的120年间发生的政治和社会生活动态进行了全面的报道。该数据库对于近代史、新闻史、经济史、宗教史等学科的研究，具有非常重要的史料价值。主要包括以下报纸：

◆常见问题

1、问：如何确认已正常登录ProQuest Historical Newspapers: Chinese Newspapers Collection (1832-1953)？

答：在复旦大学的IP范围内访问该库，页面右下角出现如下所示的标识“Your access to ProQuest provided by Fudan University”，如下图：

如果确定在复旦的IP范围内访问，仍然不能正常登录，可能有以下两种情况：

（1）请检查您使用的浏览器。如果您使用搜狗、腾讯、360等自带加速器的浏览器，在您访问某些数据库时，这类浏览器可能会自动启用加速代理，从而改变您的IP，导致无法正常访问数据库。建议您将加速器设置为关闭状态。推荐使用IE、Firefox等标准浏览器。

（2）清除IE的Cookie，然后关闭所有IE窗口后再重新打开。清除Cookie的步骤如下：IE浏览器的工具---Internet选项--常规选项卡，浏览历史记录下，点击“删除”，在删除框中勾选Cookie。

2、问：ProQuest Historical Newspapers: Chinese Newspapers Collection (1832-1953)收录的文献，我馆都可以获取全文吗？

答：是的，复旦大学图书馆订购了该库的完整内容。可从“出版物”栏目浏览具体报纸的收录内容。
