Fudan Repository

The Qingyun Study Room functions as the tangible exhibition space for the Fudan Repository, and it is currently situated on the fourth floor of the A&H Library

Since its inception, Fudan University has adhered to the academic tradition of academic independence and intellectual freedom, cultivating a multitude of eminent talents who have made substantial contributions both at home and abroad, thereby garnering a distinguished reputation within the international higher education sphere. The scholarly works of the older generation of Fudan academics epitomize their lifelong commitment to teaching and research endeavors, whereas those of the contemporary generation manifest their dedication to perpetuating the legacy of their forebears and embodying the innovative ethos of the current era. To preserve and propagate the outcomes of the painstaking efforts of successive generations of Fudan scholars, and to enable future generations to explore this repository of knowledge, the library established the Fudan Faculty & Alumni Works Exhibition Room in the early 1990s. In 2018, this exhibition room was relocated from the Science Library to the Special Collections Center within the A&H Library, and was subsequently renamed the Qingyun Study Room.

Presently, the Qingyun Study Room is primarily serves to collect and display the personal academic works of Fudan scholars (encompassing teachers, staff members, and alumni who have been affiliated with Fudan University). Additionally, it houses academic historical materials such as diaries, manuscripts, lecture notes, correspondence, and photographs of renowned Fudan experts and distinguished alumni, along with other valuable documents that reflect the historical and contemporary characteristics of Fudan University.

The Qingyun Study Room underscores the academic and original nature of scholarly achievements. It stands as an academic treasure trove that embodies the spirit of the Fudan community and represents the distilled wisdom of generations of Fudan scholars.
